If you need turkeys or assistance with other sides for your Thanksgiving meals, there are a few giveaways across the boroughs. Most of these giveaways are first come, first served. Organizers also ask that you bring a bag or cart.
If you miss any of these, check your local elected officials’ social media pages. They often partner with labor unions and churches to host similar giveaways.
Queens
On Friday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m., the Queens Community Justice Center will host a turkey giveaway. It will be held at 162-04 Tuskegee Airmen Way in Jamaica. Learn more.

- Saturday, Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. at Hinton Park in North Corona. This giveaway is hosted by Council Member Francisco Moya and the East Elmhurst Corona Civic Association.
- Saturday, Nov. 23 at noon at 100-01 Astoria Blvd in East Elmhurst. This is hosted by Council Member Moya and the First Baptist Church.
Giveaway during Thanksgiving Week: On Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., there will be a giveaway hosted by Council Member Joann Ariola. Families will get a pre-cooked meal for a family of four. Organizers say you must register by calling Jessica at 718-738-1083. Pick-ups will be in two locations: 93-06 101 Ave. and 114-12 Beach Channel Drive. Learn more.

On Saturday, Nov. 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Council Member Crystal Hudson will host a turkey giveaway and resource fair at the St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf at 260 Eastern Parkway. Learn more.
The Bronx
On Saturday, Nov. 23, at 9 a.m., the Gardiner Foundation will hold its annual turkey giveaway at Saint James Park, at 2550 Jerome Ave. in the Bronx. Please bring your bag, a cart, or extra hands to help you carry the food. Learn more.
Giveaway during Thanksgiving Week: On Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., you can pick up a free turkey at The Mall at Bay Plaza. Get a ticket at Guest Services on Level 1 and then pick-up outside the mall, near the Christmas Tree. Learn more.
Manhattan
On Sunday, Nov. 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Harlem rapper Jim Jones and his non-profit, VampCares, will host a turkey giveaway. It will be held at 57 Malcolm X Blvd in Harlem. Learn more.
On Monday, Nov. 25, from 1 to 4 p.m., the Health Care Cost Institute will hold its annual Thanksgiving giveaway. It will be at 256 W. 153rd Street in Harlem. Please bring your own bag. Learn more.
Giveaway during Thanksgiving Week: On Tuesday, Nov. 26, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House will host a turkey giveaway at 331 East 70th Street. You must call Council Member Julie Menin’s office at 212-860-1950 to sign up for a free turkey.
Staten Island
On Thursday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m., Mount Sinai Church and the NYC District Council of Carpenters is hosting a turkey giveaway at 15 Pike Street in Staten Island. Learn more.
