Most New York City renters are struggling to find affordable housing, with Bronx residents the most rent burdened, according to an analysis by Business Insider last month. Nearly 60% of Bronx renters spend more than 30% of their income on rent. In Brooklyn, more than half of renters do the same. Here are three affordable housing lotteries in Brooklyn and the Bronx closing within days.
The lotteries include apartments in a new Bronx development along the Jerome Avenue corridor, a luxury-style building near the Barclays Center and a modern Sheepshead Bay development.
Here’s what to know — beyond the fact that many of the deadlines are today!
