Julian graduated from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, where he focused on health and science reporting, as well as data journalism. One of Julian's favorite projects was editing a story about how New York City’s supers are adapting to new trash containerization laws. He is passionate about reporting on climate change, incarceration, and public health (he will definitely be contributing bylines!). Based in Washington Heights, Julian's favorite place in the city is the garden at Fort Tryon Park, and his go-to food spot is Pho 39, a Vietnamese restaurant near Bryant Park.
