As the 2026 FIFA World Cup heads into its final stretch, New York City is bringing the world’s game to your borough with local businesses, libraries and cultural institutions celebrating culture, community and the love of soccer.

Here are some Queens spots and other venues across the city where you can celebrate your favorite team, player or country leading up to the championship game and the first-of-its-kind World Cup final half-time show:

QUEENS

Enjoy the semifinals indoors at the Queens Soccer Festival

No matter which team you are rooting for, the Queens Soccer Festival has you covered with an indoor viewing party for every match. Presented by Adidas, this official viewing party offers the live matches on a 20-ft-wide LED screen, food and beverages available for purchase on-site, and open play on the locations three soccer fields. 

All three World Cup semifinal matches will be screened at 34-22 Steinway St. in Astoria, Queens, and admission is free, complimentary of Adidas Soccer, but registration is required (Register for tickets here). Food and beverage purchases will be made through the Blackbird app, download it ahead of time and receive $20 free to spend, according to the official event listing.

Spain vs. Belgium

Friday, July 10, 2 p.m.

Norway vs. England

Saturday, July 11, 4 p.m.

Argentina vs. Switzerland

Saturday, July 11, 8 p.m.

There will also be an Adidas World Cup mini shop and soccer gear and merch available at the Soccer Post retail store. 

Semifinals, July 14 and July 15, 3 p.m. on Rockaway Beach 

Enjoy food, drinks and community fun after a day at the beach with a World Cup semifinal watch party on the outdoor lawn of the Pilot House Bar & Grill. The restaurant will host a large screen viewing and has more than 20 indoor TVs playing the semifinal matches on July 14 and July 15. 

There will be family-friendly activities, face painting, lawn games, and patios for attendees with the matches starting at 3 p.m. on both days. 

Watch the final match outdoors for free at Queens Botanical Garden 

Grab a blanket and surround yourself with nature at this outdoor World Cup screening. The final match will be livestreamed outside at the Queens Botanical Garden, and there will be family-friendly activities through the afternoon with food and drinks available for purchase from local vendors.

This event is on Sunday, July 19, at the Queens Botanical Garden, located at 42-80 Crommelin St. in Flushing. The activities will start at 1 p.m. before the match kicks off at 3 p.m. Admission is free through the support of the Queens Borough President’s Office, the NYC Mayor’s Office and NYC Tourism + Conventions. On-site parking is available for $20, and all ages are welcome.

Grab a bite and watch the World Cup final at Queens Borough Hall

​Head to the steps of the Queens Borough Hall and watch the final match on a large outdoor LED screen. The event is free and open to the public, and there will be food and beverages available for purchase from international food vendors.

This event starts at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 19 at 120-55 Queens Blvd in Kew Gardens. Parking is available nearby for $16.05. For more information on the event and parking visit the NYC Tourism website. 

Celebrate the last game with a free watch party at MoMA PS1

​MoMA PS1 is collaborating with the Long Island City Partnership to bring a free World Cup Finals watch party to the museum. This event offers food and beverage samples from vendors and a space for fans, friends, and neighbors to celebrate the final World Cup match up.

MoMA PS1 is located at 22-25 Jackson Ave. in Long Island City. Parking is available nearby. For more information visit the official event listing.

Grano de Café is known for its fun World Cup decor and affordable deals in the cuisine of some of Latin America’s valiant tournament contenders, including Ecuador, Mexico and Colombia. The Colombian restaurant based in Corona is still hosting live match viewing while offering game-day specials such as

  • Three tacos for $12 
  • Bites like empanadas, sachipapas, wings and fries
  • Colombian coffee and snacks

BROOKLYN

Watch the Norway vs. England quarter-final match for free at Brooklyn Borough Hall

Soccer fans of all ages are invited to celebrate the World Cup quarter-finals with a free screening of the Norway vs. England match at the Brooklyn Mundial Quarter-finals Watch party.

This family-friendly event will be held at the Brooklyn Borough Hall located at 209 Joralemon St. on July 11. There will be a live DJ, community resource tabling, a youth soccer clinic, and activities for all ages starting at 3 p.m. before the game kickoffs at 5 p.m. RSVP for the event here

Bring the World Cup semifinal energy to the waterfront at Brooklyn Bridge Park 

Get ready for live DJs, concerts and giveaways at this series of free semifinal watch parties at  Emily Warren Roebling Plaza in Brooklyn Bridge Park. This space is open everyday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily from July 13 to July 19 and features food vendors and a beer garden, interactive experiences, a soccer pitch for 3v3, and cultural programming alongside live screenings of select matches.

Support local libraries with a World Cup final watch party at the Brooklyn Public Library 

​Families, friends, and neighbors are invited to the plaza of Brooklyn’s Central Library for a free viewing of the World Cup final. This event, sponsored by the Office of the Mayor, offers a gathering space for New Yorkers across the boroughs to celebrate community pride and global culture.

The Central Library is located at 10 Grand Army Plaza and the event runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 19. While watching the final match, attendees can also sign up for a Brooklyn Public Library card, explore the curated World Cup book collection, and enter for a chance to win a free giveaway.

MANHATTAN

Eat a quarter-pound of barbacoa while watching the quarterfinals

Join Ánimo! in Midtown Manhattan as Norway faces England on July 11. Enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine, handcrafted cocktails and an electric atmosphere with fellow soccer fans at this spot known for its chilaquiles. Reserve one of the few tables still available as of publication. 

Hit up El Barrio for a free finals watch party

Head to our favorite museum for Puerto Rican and other Latine culture and history to watch the final World Cup match for free. While the match kicks off at 3 p.m., come for a full afternoon of collective celebration. 

You’ll also have access to view “Sophie Rivera: Double Exposures,” one of the first cultural collections dedicated to the photographer who pioneered a technique of layering multiple images. Rivera explored multi-hyphenate identities as a Nuyorican, woman and feminist artist in the 1970s through 1990s. 

Check out her experimental self-portraits, documentary images and some iconic New York scenes of subway and graffiti while you soak up the energy at the museum where Rivera once organized exhibitions and held her first solo show in the ‘80s.

The festivities take place on Sunday, July 19 from 1 to 7 p.m. at El Museo del Barrio, located at 1230 5th Avenue. Register here

THE BRONX

Float on the finals vibes at the Bronx River Art Center

Catch the final World Cup match at this artivism community hub in West Farms founded in 1987. This free community watch party is happening from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 19. 

The Bronx River Art Center (BRAC) engages neighbors in programming such as free painting, drawing and ceramics classes for youth and low-cost workshops and classes for adults. It provides local artists across mediums a platform to showcase their work offering studio spaces at below-market rates. BRAC does this in service of its mission to cultivate leadership in environmental stewardship and in protecting the community’s major natural resource, the Bronx River. 

The nonprofit — and this watch party — is located at 1087 E Tremont Ave. Go for the live screening and enjoy some extra pizzazz with music, family-friendly games, face painting for all ages and light snacks and refreshments while supplies last. BRAC encourages attendees to reserve their spot, but walk-ins are welcome while space is available. Learn more and register here

STATEN ISLAND

Watch the match over lunch at a Middle Eastern spot, or from the sand at Midland Beach

Catch the final game in full bloom at Charcoal Gardenia. This halal restaurant has been showing all games with their authentic Middle Eastern dishes. Come eat, watch — and partake in hookah, if that’s your jam — at 432 Manor Road. 

You can also soak up some sun and watch the match at a city-sponsored viewing in Midland Beach at Father Capodanno Blvd. The beachfront festivities include children’s rides, food vendors and live entertainment.
