Verizon is offering a free STEM enrichment program for middle school students this summer. The Verizon Innovative Learning STEM Achievers program is engaging and handson, developed to enrich learning through design thinking, 3D printing, augmented reality, social entrepreneurship and mentorship. Running July 17 through Aug. 4 at Mercy College’s Bronx campus, the program was started to create a more diverse pathway for students to ultimately have careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.
