Get your roll on: Lace up those roller skates and head to a local rink for some fun spring skating. Roller skating returns to Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 2 on Thursday, April 6. Also in Brooklyn in Atlantic Terminal Mall is a pop-up roller skating rink, the Roller Wave, with many themed events. United Skates at Atlas Park in Queens has open skate hours—including on Easter Sunday, and there is always RollerJam USA out on Staten Island which offers family skate sessions. 

Check out the Easter parade and bonnet festival: A tradition since the 1870s, Fifth Avenue on Easter Sunday is filled with beautiful bonnets and festive attire at the Easter parade and bonnet festival. Running from around 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from 49th to 57th streets, stop by to witness the pageantry or don your own festive bonnets and join in on the parade.
