When Epicenter-NYC co-founder Nitin Mukul began volunteering his time to organize cultural events and maintain Diversity Plaza in Jackson Heights at its inception in 2012, he wanted to bring art into this essential public space. That is finally happening through a serendipitous confluence of local business Moonlite Grill providing wall space, tech startup Tap Tap Send funding the project and Epicenter-featured artist and rising star NYC muralist Zeehan Wazed creating the work.

It’s a big win for Diversity Plaza and the community it serves. The finished work will be unveiled this Friday afternoon (73-19 37th Rd.) and will be on permanent display for all to enjoy.
