“Of The Grid” Group Art Exhibition Opening Reception

The Local NY is pleased to present “Of The Grid,” an exhibition featuring work from Visakh Menon, Nitin Mukul, Aparna Sarkar and Zeehan Wazed, curated by Neha Jambhekar.

The artists here offer a spectrum of aesthetic approaches that could be seen as negotiating the urban landscape. The grid is an essential organizing principle bound to everything from the civic planning which guides our behavioral patterns, to the right angles that define the supports upon which a painting rests. Whether one calmly embraces this rigidity, or explodes across it, we are in perpetual dialogue with this underlying order.
