Epicenter x Art Retail Therapy: Reception for Noah Bassman

Each month, the walls of Art Retail Therapy in Jackson Heights will feature the work of a new Epicenter NYC artist—bringing local stories, perspectives, and creative expression into a shared neighborhood space.

March’s featured artist is Noah Bassman (they/them). Their show will be on view through April 23.

Noah Bassman is a visual artist whose work explores ideas of place, space, community, and urban life. Growing up in Queens, New York, they have always taken inspiration from the city. Their work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions at Espresso 77, Studio 41, and Vital Artist Studios, and in group exhibitions at the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, the A+D Museum in Los Angeles, and Culture Lab LIC. They’ve partnered with groups such as the Providence Streets Coalition, the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, and LINKNYC to create public artworks in New York City and Providence, RI. They attained a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in illustration with a concentration in Nature, Culture, and Sustainability Studies.
