Our event begins with an informative session with two distinguished speakers. Erica Harper, the Vice President of Learning & Engagement at Weeksville, will share invaluable insights into the center’s mission and ongoing initiatives. Joining her is Peter Bunten, representing the Mid-Hudson Antislavery History Project and serving as the Vice President of URCNYS. Together, they will provide deeper context and perspectives on the historical significance of Weeksville and its enduring legacy.

Following the discussion, enjoy a captivating tour of the center, where you’ll immerse yourself in the stories of resilience and triumph of the individuals who shaped this community. Explore the beautifully restored historic houses, exhibitions, and gardens that testify to Weeksville’s rich heritage. Weekville’s knowledgeable guides will accompany you on this journey through time, offering meaningful reflections on the past and the present.
