Foraging extravaganza đŸ„

Sunday, Sept. 18, at 11:45 a.m., come along on a foraging tour of Central Park with us, hosted by the illustrious “Wildman” Steve Brill. The 4-hour end-of-summer foraging extravaganza will explore the famous park in search of the many renewable wild foods available in early autumn, like black walnuts, wild spinach, and if you’re lucky, hen-of-the-woods, aka  maitake mushrooms. Brill, who has been hosting foraging tours since the 80s, will teach you about the many common, overlooked, renewable wild edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms that, he says, people often destroy as “weeds.” For details on how to prepare for the tour, please visit Brill’s website.

Please email us if you would like to join us for either event. Both events are donation-based and open to all. If you are an Epicenter member, however, we will make a donation on your behalf. Membership spots for these events are limited, so let us know ASAP. Sign up for membership HERE if you haven’t already.
