Epicenter NYC is offering internship opportunities across multiple areas of our newsroom and business operations. We are a Queens-based community journalism organization that values curiosity, inclusivity, and experimentation.
Internship Tracks Available:
- Editorial: Work on reporting, writing, newsletter and video production.
- Revenue: Support sponsorship, membership, and partnership building.
- Events and community engagement: Help plan, staff and execute community-focused events and panels.
- AI Innovation: Explore and test new newsroom technologies to support small publishers.
Details:
- Part-time internships, flexible scheduling.
- Priority given to students eligible for academic credit from their college or university.
- Opportunities to build hands-on skills in community journalism, audience growth, and nonprofit media.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in local news, community engagement, or media innovation.
- Strong writing, organizational, or technical skills depending on track.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced team environment.
