Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute successful implementation of special project contracts and ensure obligations are met.
- Implement work plans, maintain clear communication with internal team and stakeholders, including city agencies, manage procurement of supplies and equipment, document deliverables and required reporting.
- Organize and lead project meetings to review events strategy, promotion, engagement efforts, messaging, troubleshoot issues and improve operations.
- Manage and ensure excellence in the Airtable project system and adherence to deadlines.
- Manage and maintain RSVPs, databases, and other outreach in partnership with key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of project management experience with a proven track record of meeting deliverables on time.
- Exceptional facilitation, written and oral communication, and presentation skills; ability to interface with diverse stakeholders, government partners, local schools, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of project management systems such as Airtable and Google Suite, including Sheets.
- Experience developing and implementing organizational systems.
- Experience managing and coordinating events and vendors.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, juggle multiple projects, be self-reliant, a good problem solver, and results-oriented.
- Passion for social change and community, creativity, a sense of humor and flexibility, and a desire to work with fun people and make a difference.
- Proficiency in a language other than English, such as Spanish, Bengali, Chinese, etc., is a plus but not required.
- Experience in a startup setting is preferred.
- Must be located in New York City.
Pay Range: $30-$50/hr, dependent on experience.
